John Fury, the father of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, expects his son to eventually enter the world of mixed martial arts.

Fury was in action back in February 2020, when he dropped and stopped Deontay Wilder to capture the WBC belt.

John Fury believes his son, with the right training, would do well in MMA.

"With the right training, he'd do very well. I've seen him excel in different sports like wrestling, so I've got kind of an idea what Tyson was from that. I know he can use more than his hands," John Fury told JOE.

"He's quick, light on his feet and I do believe, if a top MMA trainer took him on, he could do big things with him - ask Darren Till."

The younger Fury trained with Till back in November 2019, with Till urging Fury to try MMA.

In the last few years, Fury has teased the possibility of jumping over to MMA to challenge the UFC heavyweight champion.

His father sees his son trying his hand at MMA - when he finally retires from the sport of boxing.

"The rougher it gets with Tyson, the better he likes it. When he does finally retire from boxing, he'll probably go to that [referring to MMA] and come back to boxing, but he will engage on that you'll see," John Fury said.
