Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey - Joel Julio (36-4, 31 KO), who returns to the welterweight division, won an easy ten round unanimous decision over Anges Adjaho (25-6, 14 KO). Julio had little to no trouble in outboxing Adjaho in basically every round. For some reason, Adjaho believed he was robbed and made a scene after the scores were announced. The score of 99-91 rang out on all three cards.
Rising welterweight/junior middleweight prospect Sadam Ali (13-0, 7KOs) won an eight round unanimous decision over John Revish (10-4-2, 8KOs). All three judges saw it 79-72 for Ali.
Ali scores a knockdown in the second round. In one of the more stranger occurrences, the venue lost power before the start of the fifth round and the fight was halted until power was restored in the pitch black venue. It could not have come at a stranger time as Revish stunned Ali in fourth round. The two fighters had to wait 16 minutes before the fight was restarted. In the eight and final round, Revish rocked Ali bad with a counter hook. The unbeaten boxer was able to stay on his feet and survived until the bell.
