WBO/WBC/WBA super middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe and light heavyweight champ Bernard Hopkins came face to face in a London press conference on Thursday to announce their April 19 showdown in Las Vegas.

ITV was live as Calzaghe vowed to end the career of Hopkins when they finally meet.

"I don't just keep fighting for the money. I want to be like Rocky Marciano, retire undefeated. This is the night 'The Executioner' gets executed," said Calzaghe.

Hopkins would fire right back, telling the British fans in attendance to fly to America for the card and watch their hero get executed. Hopkins said he's fighting his third southpaw in a row, and plans to beat Calzaghe like he beat Winky Wright and Antonio Tarver.

"The British are coming and I ask everyone to come and see the execution of the Brit," Hopkins said. "Why am I always picking on southpaws? I beat Wright easy and I'll beat Calzaghe. All his previous American opponents have had to come to Wales. Let's see how Joe performs in a different world in the United States."
