It is looking increasingly likely that Matchroom Boxing’s final show of the year on December 12 at London’s O2 Arena will be pay-per-view.
The bill which still has two, possibly three more key fights to be announced involving Kevin Mitchell, Luke Campbell and one other could be wrapped up very soon with a formal announcement expected this week one way or another.
Speaking to Boxing Scene today, Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn said:
“I think we’re in a position now where [Anthony] Joshua again Dillian Whyte, [Chris] Eubank [Jr.] against [Gary] ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan, [Tony] Bellew and [Mateusz] Masternak. [Kevin] Mitchell’s in a big fight. [Luke] Campbell’s in a decent sized fight and we’ll add one more as well. If these [other] fights go through then I think it’s likely Dec 12 will be pay-per-view.”
