On Saturday night, undisputed lightweight champion Katie Taylor will make a mandatory defense against Karen Elizabeth Carabajal at the OVO Arena Wembley in London.

Provided Taylor is successful, Hearn could see a big showdown in the future with undisputed junior welterweight champion Chantelle Cameron.

Cameron will first have to overcome a big assignment in her next ring outing, which comes against undisputed welterweight champion Jessica McCaskill, who drops down in weight to take the fight. That showdown takes place on November 5 in Abu Dhabi.

“Chantelle Cameron has got a huge fight coming up against Jessica McCaskill in Abu Dhabi for the undisputed super lightweight championship. If she wins that, then with Chantelle being undisputed at 140 pounds and Katie being undisputed at 135 pounds, that could be a huge fight," Hearn told Betfred.

Another big fight on Taylor's radar is a rematch with unified super featherweight champion Amanda Serrano.

Back in April, Taylor had to deal with some very tough moments to win a ten round split decision over Serrano at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Both sides feel they did enough to win.

Hearn and Taylor would like to stage the rematch in Croke Park by the midway point of 2023.

"The fight that Katie and all of us have all our eyes on is the Amanda Serrano rematch," Hearn said.

“Even though Katie won the first fight, it was a close fight and one of the best fights that anybody has ever seen. We want to do that again at Croke Park either next spring or summer. If Katie can get past Carabajal on Saturday, then hopefully we will open talks for the rematch with team Serrano and get that rematch made.”
