David Benavidez has no shortage of HUGE fights on his radar. In an exclusive interview with BoxingScene, Jose Benavidez Sr. makes it clear that David still wants the biggest names at 175lbs including Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev. Benavidez has previously said those are two fights he wants to make as he pursues more titles and major challenges. But there’s another name that could make things very interesting: Andy Ruiz Jr. Jose discusses the possibility of an all-Mexican showdown between Benavidez and the former heavyweight champion, along with David’s plans across multiple divisions. And with a potential Jai Opetaia showdown also building after the pair came face-to-face following Opetaia’s latest victory, Benavidez has some massive options ahead.

ProboxTV’s championship series is now on the ProBoxTV YouTube channel for $5/month.

Eddie Hearn, promoter for IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, is not convinced by Tyson Fury's recent promise to score a second round knockout of WBC world champion Deontay Wilder. (photo by Ryan Hafey)
Fury will challenge Wilder on February 22nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
They fought to a controversial twelve round split draw in December 2018, at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The first time around, there wasn't much action until Wilder dropped Fury in the ninth round, and then nearly knocked out him in the twelfth.
This time around they both have promised to be more aggressive.
“Well, Fury’s never really knocked anyone out. But I think maybe he does have to be more aggressive in this fight and I think Wilder has to be more aggressive. They didn’t do a lot in the last fight until the twelfth round let’s hope they carry on where they left off. I think Fury is the favorite in that fight," Hearn told The Sportsman.
“[AJ] has got to try and fight the winner and that is a natural fight for the sport so we will see who wins, and then AJ will be lining up to fight them.”
As Hearn stated in numerous interviews, he wants to book Joshua against the winner of the Wilder-Fury rematch. The fight has a contractual clause, that either boxer can execute, to force a trilogy fight.
“I think Joshua v Wilder, that is the natural fight. It is the biggest fight in the sport. So we will see who wins first [in Wilder vs Tyson Fury] but I think the Wilder Joshua fight will go down worldwide as one of the biggest fights of all-time," Hearn said.
