Ricky Hatton believes that Ryan Rhodes has a great chance of becoming his first world champion. Rhodes travels to Mexico on June 18 to challenge for Canelo's WBC light-middleweight title, with Hatton convinced that 'The Spice Boy' can upset the odds.
“My brother Matthew showed that Alvarez can be hit, but unfortunately that night, he just was not big enough. I expect that Ryan, who is a natural light-middleweight, will come through and become Hatton Promotions’ first World Champion," said The Hitman when speaking to Hatton.tv.
Rhodes is 45-4 (31), he earned the right to challenge for the WBC belt by defeating Salford's Jamie Moore in October 2009 and has waited patiently for his shot at the title.
