NABF lightweight champ Hank Lundy took special exception to comments made by 130-pounder Adrien Broner, and decided to respond on BoxingScene.com.

“I can’t get mad because I do the same thing, too, but one thing about me is I back it up,” Lundy (21-1-1, 11 KOs) stated.  “I talk, but I also back it up.  Everybody he’s fought is handpicked.  When did you see Adrien Broner fight somebody and beat them in a big upset?

“In my fights, you never know who’s gonna win, and I always come out on top.  He’s getting hand-fed.  I never get a handout.  Everything I’ve gotten I’ve earned.”

After getting stopped by John Molina Jr., the Philadelphia native has won his past two fights against Patrick Lopez and former WBC 135-pound titlist David Diaz.

Meanwhile, Broner (21-0, 17 KOs), out of Cincinnati, followed a lackluster decision win against Daniel Ponce De Leon with a one-round battering of Jason Litzau.

“He’s talking about David Diaz, a former champ, but he just knocked out Litzau,” Lundy argued.  “Litzau’s been washed up and he was scared to fight me before that, too.

“I’ve fought the better opposition and fought the tougher fights.  Everyone I’ve fought has been a threat.  And the Molina fight, if you know boxing, I was schooling him before he caught me, but I grew up in there.  And now, I’m chasing Molina, and he still doesn’t want to fight me.”

Lundy, currently signed with New England-based CES Boxing, also revealed his plans for the rest of the year.

“We’re looking at the WBC belt, and right now [Jorge] Linares is fighting [Antonio] DeMarco for that,” he shared.  “We’re rated to fight there and the IBO, too, so whatever world title comes available, we’re ready for.”

For the time being, however, he said he would entertain a shot at Broner if possible.

“Broner fights at 130 [pounds], and I fight at 135,” Lundy said.  “I can’t make 130.  I can make 135.  If he’s willing to fight me at 135, I’ll do it.  Listen, he knows where to find me.  I don’t run and duck from nobody.  He’s a little too small to be barking up this tree.”
