British and Commonwealth super-middleweight champion George Groves is rumoured to be ready to accept an invitation to box on the undercard of Kell Brook’s WBA welterweight title eliminator against Rafal Jackiewicz at the Ponds Forge Arena in Sheffield, ahead of him accepting an offer to join Matchroom Sport and break away from the Hayemaker banner. The 23 year-old hasn’t fought since out-pointing former friend James DeGale in May to take his Lonsdale Belt.

Groves' potential move puts an air of uncertainty above the head of Hayemaker Promotions as head fighter David Haye is still to confirm his future intentions and now one of his star headliners is set to switch allegiances to Eddie Hearn's ever-growing stable of champions. Adam Booth is expected to remain by Groves' side.
