In a recent string of fighters testing positive for illegal substances, Dan Rafael reports that former junior flyweight champion Will Grigsby tested positive for marijuana in his post-fight drug test that was taken after his Jan. 25 rematch loss to Ulises "Archie" Solis in Las Vegas.
It was reported that Grigsby will be issued a temporary suspension at a Friday meeting being held by the Nevada State Athletic Commission meeting. Grigsby will have to appear at a hearing in March, where he will face a suspension and a fine.
This is the second time in Grigsby's career to fail a drug test after a championship fight. He tested positive, also for marijuana, in July 2000 after he defeated Nelson Dieppa to win a vacant junior flyweight title.
Grigsby was later stripped and the result was changed to a no decision.
