Abel Sanchez, trainer for IBF, WBC, WBA, IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0, 33 KOs), could care less about the critics who claim Daniel Jacobs (32-2, 29 KOs) was robbed of a win last Saturday night at New York's Madison Square Garden.

For the first time in his career, Golovkin went the twelve round distance and won a twelve round unanimous decision. The scores were 115-112, 115-112 and 114-113.

The fight was tougher than most had expected and it was more competitive throughout the fight. Jacobs was down in the fourth round, but regrouped very quickly.

After the fight was over, there was a growing of observers who felt Jacobs had done enough to get the win. The most recent was retired former five division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Sanchez is only concerned with the tallies by the official judges and doesn't pay any attention to the critical comments being circulated on social media.

"Last Saturday night, three judges scored it for Golovkin so I don't care what anybody else says. It doesn't matter, it's not going to change the fact, and the fact is that's the way that it was scored. It's going to go down in history that that's how the fight went and nobody cares what other people have to say," Sanchez told BaylorIC Worldwide-TV.

"On social media, a lot of keyboard trainers and keyboard judges have come into thinking that they are important or know what the heck they are talking about. The judges scored the fight and that's the only thing that matters."

Golovkin is planning to fight again in June, possibly in his home country of Kazakhstan, and undefeated WBO world middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders of the UK is the opponent being targeted for the date. Their two sides are currently involved in ongoing discussions and hopes to reach an agreement.
