British/Commonwealth super middleweight champion George Groves expects a future rematch with rival James DeGale. Last Saturday at the O2 Arena in London, Groves won a twelve round majority decision over DeGale with scores of 115-115, 115-114 and 115-114. DeGale's promoter Frank Warren would like Groves to grant his boxer an immediate rematch. Groves is going in another direction but he does predict a rematch in the future, where he plans to put a serious hurt on DeGale.

“To use DeGale’s own words, now I’m moving on to bigger and better things. At the moment the general feedback I’m getting from people is that I shouldn’t give him a rematch. But certainly he’ll make a return, our paths will cross again – and next time I’ll ruin him. He’s with a team that are good at rebuilding broken fighters and I’m sure they can build him back up," Groves said to Ben Kosky of The Times.
