Raul "Rayito" Garcia is looking to make a statement in his first defense of the WBO strawweight title, which takes place on Saturday night in Guadalajara, Mexico. Garcia will face Moises Fuentes. A big win could line Garcia up for a big fight with former champion Ivan Calderon in the fall. Calderon is moving down to the strawweight division and wants a shot at Garcia next.

"[Fuentes] hits hard, has good height, but he's slow. I'm going to bring out all of my experience and I'll try to knock him out. I really want to fight. I don't know much about him, but like all Mexicans I'm ready to go out and die in the line of battle. I prepared for five weeks in Mexico City and I feel strong and fast. I ran in the mountains and got a lot of air. I'm ready to go 20 rounds," Garcia said.
