Trainer Danny Garcia spoke to BoxingScene.com about the ongoing feud between former friends, Brandon Rios (28-0-1, 21KOs) and Victor Ortiz (29-2-2, 22KOs). Rios is trained by Danny's brother, Robert Garcia. The two brothers are also involved in the feud and don't speak to each other. Garcia doesn't expect a fight to happen between Ortiz and Rios because the two fighters are too far apart in weight. Rios, the WBA lightweight champion, fights at 135. Ortiz is the WBC welterweight champion and faces Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Saturday in Las vegas.

"I don't think that's going to happen because Brandon is too small for Victor. Brandon is a 135-pounder, and we're at 147. If he moves up to 140, we'll be at 154. We can't wait for him. And if we get to fight him, it will be an easy fight for us. He's not that good. He's a champion, but there have been champions in the past that have not been that good. I don't want to name names, but he's one of them. They become champion and get to pick their fighters, fighting small fighters. That's a not a champion. A champion needs to fight the best - like us. Victor wanted the fight best and he asked for Mayweather," Garcia told BoxingScene.com.
