Trainer Robert Garcia was ringside at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, when Adrien Broner (30-2, 22KOs) suffered his second career defeat at the hands of Shawn Porter.

Broner, a former three division world champion, took the fight at a catch-weight of 144-pounds. Leading up to the contest, there was a lot of trash talking - mostly coming from Broner, who stated over and over that Porter would be "easy work." He was able to score a knockdown in the twelfth round, but Porter controlled the action and his workrate was much higher in every round.

Garcia's fighter, Marcos Maidana, handed Broner his first career defeat in December 2013.

Because of Broner's trash talk and his flashiness, Garcia feels the loss will hurt his marketability. At the same time he gives Broner a good shot to bounce back.

"I do think so [that it hurts his marketability]. He's very flashy, he talks a lot. For him to perform like this, it does hurt. He can bounce back. I don't know about his training. I don't know if he had any injuries or anything, but I thought he could have done a little better. He should have started earlier. He started off a little too late and one round is not enough to win a fight," Garcia said.
