Junior flyweight title hopeful Ganigan Lopez headlines the 2015 season finale of Boxeo Telemundo, as he faces Miguel Herrera this Friday at Auditorio Blackberry in Mexico City, Mexico.
Their bout will serve as a 10-round main event with a regiona flyweight belt at stake (Friday, Telemundo 11:35 p.m ET).
Lopez (25-6, 16KOs) moves up in weight as he fights for the first time since falling short versus junior flyweight champ Pedro Guevara in July. The loss ended a five-fight win streak for the 33-year old southpaw who fights in his hometown for the first time in four years, almost to the date.
Herrera (13-2-1, 10KOs) looks to go out on a high note in 2015, as he is 1-1-1 on the year. The 21-year old is coming off of a 4th round knockout win this past August in his hometown of Valladolid, Mexico.
Also on the show:
Local super lightweight Luis Vidales (7-4, 3KOs) faces Martin Islas - also from Mexico City - in a scheduled eight-round bout;
Daniel Garcia meets Irvin Ordaz in a scheduled six-round clash of unbeaten local flyweights
