A clash between world ranked Jr Flyweight contenders kicks off All Star Boxing’s first show of 2024 on March 8th from PHARAOHS CASINO in Managua, Nicaragua. Panamanian WBO #7 WBA #8 WBC #8 Azael “Candelilla” Villar (20-2-4 15 KO’s) faces undefeated WBC #5 WBA #7 WBO #12 Jairo Noriega (13-0 3 KO’s) of Villareal, Spain in a 12-round main event. The show will be televised on ESPN+ and ESPN Knockout starting at 9:00PM/EDT.

Miami, FL; Undefeated world ranked contender Jairo "Jairito" Noriega (13-0 3 KO's) of Badajoz, Spain has inked a promotional pact with All Star Boxing. The deal was announced by the company's president Felix "Tuto" Zabala Jr. on Tuesday. Noriega joins the big stable of junior flyweights under the banner, which includes WBO world champion Jonathan "Bomba" Gonzalez.

Kenshiro Teraji once again lived up to his ‘Amazing Boy’ moniker. The two-time and reigning lineal/WBA/WBC junior flyweight champion earned his fourth consecutive knockout, this one in a ninth-round stoppage of former two-division titlist Hekkie Budler. A barrage of punches left Budler defenseless along the ropes, as referee Lupe Garcia stopped the contest at 2:19 of round nine Monday at Ariake Arena in Tokyo.

Junto Nakatani was extended the distance for the first time in a title fight but remained unbeaten and with his crown still in tow. The unbeaten two-division titlist made the first successful defense of his WBO junior bantamweight title of Mexico City’s Argi Cortes. Nakatani scored three knockdowns Monday evening at Ariake Arena in Tokyo.

Anthony Olascuaga found a dramatic way to avoid a second straight defeat. A terrific but grueling in-ring battle with Giemel Magramo ended in an instant as Olascauga scored a come-from-behind, seventh-round stoppage victory. A right hand in the midst of a flurry froze Magramo, as a subsequent right and and left hook was enough for referee Katsuhiko Nakamura to stop the fight at 2:57 of round seven Monday at Ariake Arena in Tokyo.

Kenshiro Teraji and Anthony Olascuaga were well under the junior flyweight limit for their upcoming championship clash. In fact, Olascuaga was at his career lightest as he weighed 106.9 pounds (announced as 48.5 kilograms)—a full pound below the 108-pound divisional limit. Teraji tipped the scales at a fit and trim 107.1 pounds (48.6 kg) as he aims to defend the lineal, WBA and WBC junior flyweight championship atop an ESPN+ telecast from Ariake Arena in Tokyo (Saturday, 3:00 a.m. ET).

The first men’s title unification bout scheduled for 2023 is officially postponed. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that Kenshiro ‘The Amazing Boy’ Teraji needs a new opponent for his April 8 headliner at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan. The lineal, WBC and WBA junior flyweight champion was due to face WBO titlist Jonathan ‘Bomba’ Gonzalez, who was forced to withdraw from their three-belt unification after coming down with mycoplasma pneumonia. “Bomba got sick and he is out of the fight,” Felix ‘Tutico’ Zabala Jr., Gonzalez’s promoter, confirmed to Boxing Scene. “They are looking for another opponent for Kenshiro.”

The first men’s title unification bout of 2023 has a date and location. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that the Kenshiro ‘The Amazing Boy’ Teraji-Jonathan ‘Bomba’ Gonzalez lineal/WBC/WBA/WBO junior flyweight championship is set for April 8 in Tokyo, Japan. Teraji holds the lineal junior flyweight championship and WBC and WBA titles, while Puerto Rico’s Gonzalez will return to Japan WBO belt in tow for their unification bout which will air live on ESPN+ in the U.S.

A restructuring year for the All-Star Boxing family includes a fresh start for one its prospects. Derrieck Cuevas is set to end a two-year layoff—almost to the day—as he headlines an ESPN Knockout show Friday evening from Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The 28-year-old from Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico faces streaking knockout artist Esneiker Correa (15-2-1, 13KOs) in a scheduled ten-round junior middleweight contest.
