PLEASANTON, California – Junior lightweights Gabriel Garcia and Armando Frausto both made weight to make Elite Underdog Promotions’ first event official.
The bout, which will take place here at the Alameda County Fairgrounds on Saturday, saw Garcia hit the scales at 129.25lbs. Frausto was only slightly heavier, at 130.0lbs on the dot.
Garcia, a 22-year-old from Antioch, California, will put his unbeaten record of 11-0 (6 KOs) on the line in his first fight of 2025. Frausto, of La Marque, Texas, will enter on a two-fight losing streak after stoppage losses to Julian Gonzalez in March and Kaipo Gallegos in July.
Frausto, 10-6-1 (5 KOs), turned pro more than 10 years ago. A 32-year-old veteran, he will face the local favorite Garcia, who trains out of Lion’s Den Boxing Gym.
In the co-feature, Kyle Lacanlale, of San Ramon, California, weighed in at 124.75lbs. Lacanlale, 22, trains out of Benjamin’s Boxing with his father, Lyndon Lacanlale, entering with a record of 4-0 (2 KOs). He will face Rodolfo Molina, of Antioch, California, who enters with a record of 0-1.
