WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (28-1, 20KOs) expects to have an immediate advantage over Andre Ward (24-0, 13KOs), the WBA's champion, when they clash in a unification bout on October 29th at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Froch is confident that Atlantic City will be flooded with UK fans who will travel over to cheer him on, and by doing so will give him a hometown feeling in America.

"I think Atlantic City favors me more than it does Ward. Official wise, I don't know because we're in America and he's an American. But I don't think he's got too many traveling fans coming over from Oakland to watch him in Atlantic City," Froch told BoxingScene.com's Ryan Songalia.

Froch is going to make it a fight and he'll be looking to test Ward's jaw in every single round. He reviewed a few fights where he saw Ward get dropped to the mat and/or hurt from big punches. If Ward gets in trouble, Froch is confident in his ability to finish him off.

"I feel that I'm going to put him under some serious pressure with some serious heat, and if I don't knock him out then the referee might have to jump in and it can happen early on or it can happen late. One thing is for sure, Andre Ward can't knock out Carl Froch, but Carl Froch can knock out Andre Ward. When I'm letting my shots go, I have twelve three-minute rounds to connect on his jaw, and if that connection happens you are going to see a shaking of the legs - and I have the ability to finish the fight," Froch said.
