IBF super middleweight champion Carl Froch has advised junior welterweight boxer Amir Khan to switch up his style. Froch feels Khan, at 25-years-old, has the ability to get his career back on track, as he did once before when Breidis Prescott knocked Khan out in the first round in 2008.
Froch, like several other fighters, believes Khan doesn't react well to being hit. To give himself a chance to get his career in order, Froch says the Bolton fighter needs to get back to boxing and stay away from brawls.
“Mentally it’s a tough defeat to get over but he’s done it before following a devastating knockout by Breidis Prescott," Froch told The Sun.
“He knows he has a vulnerability and his punch resistance isn’t good, so what he needs to do is adjust his style. Amir should use his range, fast hands and fitness to move around like he used to do. I don’t know why he seems to get involved in tear-ups.”
