WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch has continued the war of words with WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan. Froch and Khan will both be present at the awards ceremony where heavyweight champion David Haye has been nominated for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.

The two british fighters have been trading words for nearly a year. Khan believes that Froch is jealous of him and Froch says Khan is being a big baby. Froch says a lot of people have become cheerleaders for Khan and won't say anything negative about him. He doesn't plan to be one of those cheerleaders.

“I will ask him what’s going on with all these silly comments he has made and tell him to grow up. I’m going to leave it up to him whether he wants to shake hands or not – but I would rather be his friend than enemy. It’s probably a good idea if David Haye is sitting between us both at the Sports Personality of the Year Awards. I presume they won’t have us sitting next to each other. All I was doing was commenting on his fight against Breidis Prescott," Froch told The Daily Star.

“He got knocked out, so what does he want me to say? His fight against Andreas Kotelnik was boring as well. If he wants me to be his cheerleader like all the rest, then he’s not going to get it. My fight against Andre Dirrell was boring, too. That’s boxing. You have to deal with criticism. But if he’s going to start crying because I speak the truth, then he’s being a bit childish and simple."
