Super middleweight contender Carl Froch (33-2, 24KOs) gets excited at the thought of being an underdog in an dangerous fight with WBA/IBO middleweight king Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30KOs).
There have been talks about a potential Froch-Golovkin fight happening in the fall, but Froch has yet to make a concrete decision regarding his future in the sport.
Froch has been inactive since last May's knockout of George Grove before 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium. He's taken a pass on several other fights and vacated his IBF super middleweight belt when the sanctioning body ordered him to face James DeGale.
“The only reason I’d like that fight is because it would be really difficult to win," Froch told TalkSport. "He’s a tough kid, he’s unbeaten and he’s got a knock-out punch. I don’t think many people would give me a chance and you know what, that excites me. I like that.
“Call me stupid, call me brave, call me what you want...that’s a fight I can win. [But] there are a lot of factors involved. If I could get myself fit, which is something I think I could do – although I’ve never had a year out of boxing before – I’d fight anybody.”
