Promoter Frank Warren is working hard to assist Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) in reclaiming his boxing license.
After testing positive for cocaine last year, the British Boxing Board of Control took away his license.
Fury has been out of the ring since November 2015, when he shocked Wladimir Klitschko with a twelve round unanimous decision to capture the WBO, IBO, WBA, IBF world titles in Germany. All of the titles were lost outside the ring, and now he wants to capture them all.
Fury, 29 years old, is targeting the month of April for his long awaited comeback.
Warren has submitted the initial paperwork to help Fury. The veteran promoter expects to handle the event duties for Fury's comeback.
"We're waiting for the Board to come back with a date for the hearing," Warren told Nick Parkinson. "Whatever they require we will provide. We're trying to get is on sooner rather than later.
"I'm confident and positive there will be a positive outcome, but the Board will have a lot of questions. If he has to do a drugs test, he will have to do it just like other boxers do. There's isn't enough of that in boxing in my opinion."
"I'm going to be working with him [Fury]. He asked me to announce a fight in April and that's what we're working on, a defence of his Ring belt. I'm not going to go into the details of the deal, it was a private conversation, but we have a deal and that's it. It's private and confidential."
Warren does not expect any issues win making a potential fight down the line with IBF, IBO, WBA champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs), who is promoted by Warren's main rival, Eddie Hearn.
"Why would working with me stop the Joshua fight from happening?" Warren said. "BT Sport and Sky Sports could share it, or who ever comes up with the right money gets it. Who says Anthony Joshua could be with Matchroom in seven months' time? His contract expires soon."
