Russia's national amateur team dominated (male) the European continental championship, which ended this Sunday in Samokov, Bulgaria, winning no less than four gold medals and adding five extra licenses for the 2015 World Championship in Doha, Qatar.

Ireland (2 gold and 1 bronze medals), the UK (1 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze medals) and local hosts from the Bulgarian national team (1 gold and 4 bronze medals) came right after the Russians. Top honours were also won by Lithuania and Croatia. The championship marked a severe fall of once-prominent Ukrainian team, which failed to win any medals at all – just three-to-four years following their massive success in Baku and London.
