BoxingScene.com asked WBA 'regular junior middleweight champion Erislandy Lara (19-1-2, 12KOs) for his reaction to a recent video interview, where Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (43-1-1, 31KOs) claimed the Cuban boxer was "scared" and "trembling" during their press conference confrontation in March.

Following Canelo's TKO victory over Alfredo Angulo, Lara approached the Mexican star while he was speaking at the dais and publicly challenged him to a match.

"It did bother me a little, but at the time that he approached me - I found that he was scared, trembling. He didn't seem too sure as to what he was doing. I think that they sent him [up there to confront me]. The people asked for this fight and now the moment is here," Canelo said.

Lara took offense to Canelo's comments.

"He's just talking a lot of sh*t. He's full of sh*t. I've proven that I'll fight anybody. Just look at my record, I'm not like Canelo where I get to pick and choose anybody. I've fought anybody who they've put in front of me, so I'm not scared of nothing," Lara said.

They will settle their score on July 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and live on Showtime Pay-Per-View.
