Leonard Ellerbe, CEO for Mayweather Promotions, told the Grand Rapids Press that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is going to punish WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather feels "very, very disrespected" by some of the trash talk comments from Ortiz. He said Ortiz, along with his promoter Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions, discredited Mayweather's accomplishments and a harsh price will be paid on Saturday.

"Anytime you disrespect a great champion's accomplishments, you've crossed the line. What the hell has he accomplished that he can criticize someone like Floyd Mayweather?" Ellerbe said. "Floyd's gonna teach him a lesson. That mouth of his has written a check his ass can't cash. He's on the '24/7' platform and he has let that TV (stuff) go to his head. He's living in that 24/7 world. Saturday, he has to come down to reality."
