Originally the welterweight contest between Thomas 'Cornflake' Lamanna and Dusty Harrison was scheduled for September 16th at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, but an employees strike at the venue caused a cancellation of that show putting this match-up in jeopardy.
On Thursday Lamanna tweeted(@Cornflakeboxing): Officially fighting @Dusty30th on Thursday, September 15th in Philadelphia at the 2300 Arena LIVE on CBS Sports Net for the USBA Title
This news was confirmed by Mike Walters, who advises Harrison.
"The fight with Lamanna is 100-percent a go. We don't know exactly what time it's going to be on but it's definitely going to be in Philadelphia on that date,"he told BoxingScene.com on Thursday evening.
Lamanna has a record of 21-1 (9 KO's), his lone loss - a sixth round stoppage - coming to Antoine Douglas as a middleweight back in March of 2015. Harrison has a mark of 29-0-1 (16 KO's) and is coming off a disputed draw against Mike Dallas on May 13th.
