Top rated welterweight prospect Thomas Dulorme returns to the ring on October 27th against hard hitting Argentine Luis Carlos Abregu. The only loss on Abregu's resume was against WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley.
BoxingScene.com recently spoke to Dulorme to get his thoughts on facing Abregu who is known for his knockout power. The fight will mark the HBO debut for the Carolina, Puerto Rico based fighter.
Dulorme faced Yoryi Estrella in his last fight which took place in August. While the weight limit for the bout was set at 149 pounds, Estrella reportedly entered the ring weighing a whopping 172 pounds.
"Abregu may be a hard hitter but I doubt he's a stronger fighter than Estrella. He weighed 172 pounds in our fight. I don't think Abregu will be that big," Dulorme told BoxingScene.
Dulorme hopes to fight for a title soon but will leave the selection of his opponents up to his team. He thinks a victory over Abregu will prepare him for a title fight.
"I don't think about who I will fight next. I leave that up to my managers and promoters. I think beating Abregu will have me ready to fight for a championship but I will fight whoever they put in front of me."
