Trainer Javan 'Sugar' Hill has been making a name for himself with his recent success with WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson.
Hill is now working with WBC super middleweight champion Anthony Dirrell. The World Boxing Council has ordered Dirrell to face popular British fighter George Groves. Dirrell will be allowed to make a voluntary defense in February, but then he has to face Groves, who holds the WBC silver title.
Dirrell (27-0-1, 22KOs) only fought once in 2014 after fighting three times in 2013. Hill predicts a very busy 2015 for his boxer.
"I think he wants to have about three fights in 2015, he wants to stay busy. His career has been a lot of stop and go, so right now he’s on the go and he wants to stay busy and I think it’s good for him to stay busy," Hill told On The Ropes Boxing Radio.
"With Anthony being busy in 2015, you’re going to see a different Anthony Dirrell and it will catapult him to be one of the premiere fighters in the super middleweight division. I don’t know what fights they have lined up for him but I heard talks of George Groves, I think that would be an excellent fight."
