Dillian Whyte views himself as one of the top three heavyweights in the world.
He doesn't believe Tyson Fury should be in the top three - with IBF, WBA, IBO, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and WBC champion Deontay Wilder being the other two.
Whyte will faces undefeated Oscar Rivas at The O2 on July 20, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
Since losing to Joshua via seventh round knockout in December of 2105, Whyte has put together a solid string of wins.
Whyte picked up victories over Joseph Parker, Dereck Chisora, Lucas Browne, Dave Allen, Robert Helenius, and others.
And now a win over Rivas could catapult Whyte even further in standing.
He doesn't believe Fury should be in the top three, because of his inactivity for over two years before returning to the sport in June of 2018.
"Rivas is a good fight. All the tops guys are afraid to fight him," Whyte told Sky Sports. "Once again, I'm going to have to step up and take a bigger challenge than the top three in the world is taking. The so-called top three in the world.
"I think I should be top three. I don't think Tyson Fury should be top three. I could beat all three of the top three and they'll still have me as number four."
Rivas is coming off a knockout win earlier this year, of durable veteran Bryant Jennings. Top Rank and ESPN were pushing to sign Rivas, before the boxer finalized a deal to collide with Whyte.
"Softly spoken, but don't let that fool you," Whyte added. "He's a strong guy, stocky, well built with wide shoulders.
"His legs and neck are quite big, he looks very strong. I know I'll be in for a hard night. He's going to be relentless and he's undefeated, got a lot of pride.
