Golden Boy President Oscar De La Hoya expects a war when the star boxer of his company, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, challenges Miguel Cotto for the WBC world title on November 21 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. HBO Pay-Per-View will broadcast the event.

"They have a great team and they know what they're doing. But sometimes it's nice to have a fighter with the experience and the knowledge to complete the game plan," De La Hoya said.

Fighting stance apart, Oscar's opinion-stance on what he terms FIGHT OF THE YEAR is unequivocal. He states:

"Whoever has that will. I think there are going to be knockdowns in this fight. Both men are going to get back up, but it boils down to whoever has the stronger will to win. It's not going the distance. I don't know who's going to win. But I know who I want to win."

De La Hoya says Canelo is more than capable of then taking on WBC mandatory Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin, but Golden Boy's other boxer, David Lemieux, is facing Golovkin on October 17th and De La Hoya believes GGG will not come out on top.

"Canelo is capable of taking down Gennady Golovkin. But the fact is [Golovkin is] facing David Lemieux, who is a puncher and a fast fighter.....who's strong....a fighter who can actually box. People are talking about Golovkin [facing Canelo next], but I think [after the fight] people will be talking about David Lemieux and what he did to Gennady," De La Hoya said.
