A deal has been reached for former champion Luis "El Nica" Concepcion (32-4, 23KOs) to get a shot at the super flyweight interim world title of the World Boxing Association (WBA), held by champion David "Tornado" Sanchez (28-2-2, 22KOs) of Mexico. The fight will go ahead on the 19th of September at the Multipurpose Center in Hermosillo, Mexico.

"At 115 pounds he's strong, with good speed," said Espino, who announced that Concepcion will be competing at the new weight. "We already have date and venue for the fight."

Sanchez has won 21 of his last 22 fights and has gone unbeaten since 2010. Concepcion had built up a nine fight win streak but then lost a twelve round decision in April to current WBC super flyweight champion Carlos Cuadras, also of Mexico.
