WBA/WBC junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia, who knocked out Amir Khan in four rounds back in July, says the British boxer gained some necessary experience. Last week in Birmingham, it was reported that Amir, and his younger brother Haroon Khan, were jumped by six men who were attempting to steal Amir's £100,000 Range Rover. Reports of the incident quickly spread through the social networks.
"I don't follow him on twitter, I don't follow none of my rivals on Twitter.... Nah man, I didn't know but I've been jumped before...Maybe that's the first time he's been in a street fight so that will help him in the next fight," Garcia told BoxingScene.com.
"That's what I told him the first time (we fought)... I said look, we all know you can box, but have you ever been in a street fight, have you been jumped? ....So I guess it happened - so he's ready next time."
Khan returns on December 15th in Los Angeles against undefeated Carlos Molina, while Garcia defends his titles this Saturday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn - taking on former four division world champion Erik Morales in a rematch.
