Manny Pacquiao's speed, power and combination punching the difference. Pac landed an avg. of 23 of 66 punches per round, while Brandon Rios, who avg'd 25 of 74 per round in his previous six fights, landed just 12 of 42 per round tonight. Manny, working behind a steady jab (5 of 27 per round) landed 48% of his power shots. Rios managed to land 43% of his power shots- one at a time however.

People are failing to mention how defensive Rios was in this fight. A few have hit on it but others are saying that 48% is bad considering Rios was a punching bag but he was way more defensive than he normally is and he still got beaten up. had he fought like he normally does, Pac would have likely set the record for highest % landed all time in a fight.

the scary part is that he's not as accurate as he was in his prime. rios is a punching bag if you're not standing in front of him.
Rios was surprisingly disciplined with that tight guard

They counted everything he threw when they were tied up
wouldn't be surprised if 120 of those were when they are tied up.. :lol1:

I don't think Rios landed 138 punches.
They counted everything he threw when they were tied up
