Wishire Grand Hotel, Los Angeles, CA- Former champion Christy Martin (49-5-3) is set to return to the ring for the first time in over 20 months when she faces Dakota Stone (9-8-5) in a rematch of their September 2009 clash.  Martin won via majority decision. After bringing both fighters to the podium, promoter Bob Arum announced that another female fighter was sitting in the crowd and that she would probably want to face the winner of the Martin-Stone fight that takes place on Saturday. That fighter was boxer and model Mia St. John.

St. John told Martin that she respects her for everything that she has been through (Martin was stabbed multiple times and shot by her ex-husband) but that when they meet in the ring that she will avenge her loss to Martin that took place in 2002.

"I respect you for everything that you have been through but when we step in the ring I will come out the winner this team," said St. John as she referred back to her loss to Martin.

Martin quickly responded by claiming that the only reason that St. John finished that fight on her feet was because she wore padding.  "I have to give you credit.  You took some big body shots but honestly I didn't take you seriously.  You are lucky you had that rib protector on."

Both fighters were becoming more and more animated and St. John quickly fired back by saying, "You are just made because your punches didn't have any effect on me.  You know I didn't have any type of protector on."

Martin immediately answered by saying, "You may have taken those shots to the body but we will see what happens when you take one on your chin."

As the press conference was winding to an end and the fighters were getting ready to pose for pictures, a chuckling Arum had this to say, "Now we are going to pose the fighters.  I am not worried about the male fighters but I think I we are going to need security for the female fighters."
