Undefeated junior middleweight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (40-0-1, 30KOs) will get the biggest showcase of his entire career when he appears in the co-feature to Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto on November 14 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Chavez will take on Chavez Jr. Troy Rowland(25-2, 7KOs).

Chavez wants to put on an impressive performance for what may be largest pay-per-view audience of the year. The WBC has promised him a crack at champion Sergio Martinez in 2010. Martinez has laughed at the fight. He doesn't think Chavez belongs in the ring with him and many fans agree. Chavez wants to prove everyone wrong.

"I know that Sergio Martinez, the WBC super welterweight champion, has said some things about me, but I going to stay calm. I know that when I get my opportunity I will take advantage of it, but first I have to look good on November 14 to fight for that title," Chavez Jr. told The Record. "I don't know anything my opponent but being prepared to fight is a good way to not lose track of fighting the champion."

Chavez would like to fight Martinez in May, June or July of next year at Plaza de Toros in Mexico.

"My dad has fought many times in Mexico but one of the scenarios that I always liked was to fight in that venue. It would be an honor to fight there," Chavez said.
