Although there is an ongoing legal battle between Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and promotional firm Top Rank, the wheels continue to turn for a March 28th card in Las Vegas, which is reportedly going to be a joint show by Al Haymon's Haymon Boxing and Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Sport.
The main event is going to be a battle between Chavez and IBF/WBA 'regular' champion Carl Froch.
Another fight already discussed for the card is a bantamweight unification between WBO beltholder Tomoki Kameda (Haymon) and WBA 'regular' champion Jamie McDonnell (Hearn).
Now, according to Herald Scotland, Ricky Burns (Hearn) is going to move down in weight to lightweight, and will face Rances Barthelemy (Haymon), who holds the IBF super featherweight title and is moving up in weight.
If true, Barthelemy (21-0, 12KOs) will look for his second divisional title and Burns (37-4-1, 11KOs), who went 1-2 last year, will look to resurrect his career back at 135.
