WBA "regular" heavyweight champion Mahmoud "Manuel" Charr is ready and willing to travel over to UK soil to face top contender Dillian Whyte.

But first, Charr has been ordered to face Trevor Bryan, who holds the WBA's "interim" title. According to Charr, that fight might happen on April 11 in Dubai.

And Whyte is slated to face former world champion Alexander Povetkin, with a deal nearly complete for the contest.

Charr views Whyte as the perfect opponent to secure a future crack at WBO, WBA, IBF, IBO world champion Anthony Joshua.

Charr has not fought since November 2017, due to injuries, promotional issues and a suspension for a failed drug test.

He wants to fast-track himself in 2020, with several ring appearances before the year is out - and he hopes one of them takes place in the UK.

"If the WBA don't accept Trevor Bryan, I want to fight [an opponent] from the top 15," Charr told Sky Sports. "I have to have a comeback fight.

"Then I want to come to the UK and fight Dillian Whyte and knock this guy out, because I want Joshua. I want the best heavyweight on the planet, which is Joshua right now.

"I know when I fight in the UK, I can be the next Prince Naseem. All the people will love it, because my heart is big, I'm a fighter, I'm not scared of anyone and I fight everyone in my career. I never say no. When I beat Dillian Whyte in the UK, I will be the next big challenger to Anthony Joshua. I hope in the future, I can make a big fight there [in the UK], because I love the UK, I love the fans. The best boxing fans come from the UK."
