Former champion Chad Dawson believes that he holds the clear edge over WBC king Bernard Hopkins, a boxer 17 years older than him. Their fight is scheduled for October 15th at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Hopkins (52-5-2, 32KOs) beat Jean Pascal, who beat Dawson, but "Bad Chad" doesn't feel the old veteran is capable of beating him. Dawson (30-1, 17KOs) has chased this fight for several years and his moment is finally here.
"For me, it’s all or nothing. I’m going to give it all or die trying. I wanted this fight for about three years. This is my ultimate dream, to be in the ring and dethrone Bernard Hopkins. It's a great opportunity for my career. I'm faster, stronger, younger. He hasn't shown over the last decade that he can beat a guy like me," Dawson said.
