Caroline Dubois is armed with new promotional muscle behind her promising career.

BoxingScene has confirmed that the unbeaten WBC 135lbs titlist has signed with Most Valuable Promotions (MVP). The move came just in time for London’s Dubois to land on the December 19 undercard of MVP co-founder Jake Paul’s heavyweight fight with former two-time unified titlist Anthony Joshua.

For her part, Dubois, 11-0-1 (5 KOs) will defend her title against Italian southpaw Camila Panatta, 8-2-1 (1 KO). Their scheduled 10-round contest will take place on the preliminary undercard preceding the Netflix event, live from Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.

“Signing with MVP is the next step in my career, I'm proud to be under their roster,” Dubois told BoxingScene via provided quotes. “I believe they will be able to help me on my quest for greatness. The mission must be to become the face of women's boxing.

“I’m super excited to make my debut on MVP and Netflix. Winning and winning in style, while announcing myself on the biggest stage and platform, is my dream and main motivation.”

Dubois joins what has quickly come, by far, the deepest talent of women in boxing. The current roster includes the legendary Amanda Serrano, along three other reigning champs who will defend their respective crowns on this card – Alycia Baumgardner (lineal and unified 130lbs), Cherneka Johnson (undisputed 118lbs) and Yokasta Valle (WBC 105lbs).

That is only a small sampling of the field from which Dubois hopes to stand out. The 24-year-old Londoner comes in well-credentialed – a member of the 2020 Great Britain Olympic team who has quickly separated herself from merely being the younger sister of former IBF heavyweight titlist Daniel Dubois.

“Sweet Caroline” long ago carved out her own name and quickly emerged as the class of the lightweight division once Ireland’s Katie Taylor officially moved up to 140lbs. Dubois claimed the WBC interim 135lbs title in July 2024 and later upgraded to full titlist. She’s since made two successful defenses – a technical draw with Jessica Camara in January and a 10-round, majority decision win over Bo Mi Re Shin on March 7 at Kensington’s famed Royal Albert Hall.

Frustration over landing unification bouts kept her out of the ring for most of the rest of 2025. That shouldn’t be a problem moving forward – MVP also houses WBO titlist Terri Harper. Not to mention that the company brass jumped at the bit to add her to the roster.

“Caroline Dubois has been the most coveted free agent in women’s boxing,” MVP co-founders Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul said in a joint statement. “We are thrilled to have her join MVP.  She’s a champion, an Olympian and a rising star in the UK and beyond, and she makes her MVP debut Friday, December 19, as she joins the stacked Jake vs. Joshua card in her third world title defense.

“While existing and new boxing promoters battle about belts, MVP’s focus on women’s boxing is driven by creating a global brand, with the largest roster of elite fighters, that delivers a product that is unquestionably the best athletes in the sport.”

The expectation is for Dubois to deliver, though fights are won in the ring and not on paper. Needless to say, her challenger has plenty of motivation to ruin everyone’s plans.

Panatta enters her first career title fight barely a year removed from a competitive technical decision defeat to Emma Gongora, which followed a more impressive majority decision victory over unbeaten Sara Carmona. The 34-year-old Italian contender - based in West Palm Beach, Florida – most recently outpointed Marisol Corona on August 23 in Naucalpan, Mexico, where four of her past five bouts have taken place under Mariana Caballero’s Miura Boxing banner.

“This fight isn’t just a fight for me,” said Panatta. “It’s the moment where my whole story finds its meaning. This is the opportunity of my life.”

Dubois is well aware of the need to clear off present day business to pave the way for a brighter future under her new team. With a win next weekend, Dubois can expect to be prominently featured on her side of the Atlantic in a way that her career hasn’t yet experienced.

“Adding an undefeated world champion of Caroline’s caliber is another key piece to that [global] vision,” insisted Bidarian and Paul. “She joins our elite British contingent, and we look forward to providing her the opportunity to continue her rise with an MVP event in the UK in early 2026.”
