Super middleweight Carl Froch would be happy to have a rematch with current IBO/WBC lightweight champion Jean Pascal. Froch is the only man to claim a victory over Pascal. They staged a twelve round war for the vacant WBC 168-pound title in December 2008 at the Trent FM Arena in Nottingham.

Once Froch is done with the Super Six Boxing Classic, he would be open for a rematch with Pascal. Froch is set to fight Arthur Abraham in a Super Six showdown on October 2. It was reported on BoxingScene.com on Wednesday that Abraham-Froch could have the WBC super middleweight title on the line. The General Manager for Sauerland Event, Chris Meyer, told BoxingScene that Mikkel Kessler, who withdrew from the Super Six with an eye injury, is likely going to vacate his title, and that would create a situation where the two top available contenders, Froch and Abraham, could fight for it.

"Pascal declared he wanted to fight me again, to try to reverse his loss to me. I'd be more than happy to afford the opportunity to Pascal. But right now all of my focus is entirely on Abraham and the Super Six. I'm in it to win it and I am pounding the bags, day in day out, to get into peak shape to rock Abraham's world," Froch wrote in the Nottingham Post.

Froch watched Pascal's win over Chad Dawson and felt the ringside doctor made the right to call to stop the fight in the eleventh round after Dawson suffered a very bad cut from an accidental clash of heads.

"On the night, Chad was out-punched and shaken up by Pascal, who took most of the rounds on the scorecards. At the start of the 11th round, Chad knew he'd been out-foxed and needed a KO to reverse his fortunes. He lunged in with a big shot and they clashed heads. A small cut appeared on Pascal's forehead, but Dawson's eye was gashed right open and unfortunately for him, the doctor correctly stopped the fight," Froch wrote.
