IBF super bantamweight champion Carl Frampton is busier, WBA super bantamweight champion Quigg more efficient and accurate, landing 49.4% of his power punches. Frampton (vs. Gonzalez, Avalos, Martinez 2x & Parodi)landed twice as many jabs per round as Quigg. 16 of Quigg's 19 landed punches per round are power shots- he'll have to get close to be effective. Quigg opponents: Martinez, Otake, Jamoye & Salinas.

Later tonight, the two fighers will finally trade punches at the Manchester Arena. The eagerly anticipated showdown between the British rivals will have the pair putting titles, unbeaten records and bragging rights on the line in the blockbuster

Belfast favourite Frampton took the IBF crown from Kiko Martinez last September and has defended the title twice this year, stopping Chris Avalos in Belfast in February before an exciting debut on US soil in May where he climbed off the canvas twice in the opening round to defeat Alejandro Gonzalez Jr.

Bury ace Quigg’s reign as WBA champion began in October 2013 and the 27 year old has racked up five successful defences in that time, stopping Martinez in his last outing in Manchester in July to follow wins over Diego Silva, Tshifhiwa Munyai, Stephane Jamoye and Hidenori Otake.

Michael Buffer calls the fighters to the ring, and the legendary voice of boxing was in awe of the 5,000-plus fans that attended Friday’s weigh-in at the Arena, and with promoter Eddie Hearn predicting one of the most memorable atmospheres ever witnessed in a boxing arena in Britain, Buffer expects something special.

"Once again the fight fans are in super support mode for this highly anticipated Super-Bantamweight world title unification match between IBF champ, Carl Frampton and WBA champ, Scott Quigg here in Manchester,” said Buffer. “I've been coming here many times for 20 years now and each time I can't imagine the fans being any louder but they never fail to surpass the previous mark on the decibel meter.

“The final press conference was intense yesterday as each team tried to maintain the edge in the "I'm going to kick your butt" department of pre-fight psychology. That intensity continued at the weigh-in and was picked up by 5,000 fans in attendance. Both Frampton and Quigg weighed in easily within the Super-Bantamweight limit as each appeared exceptionally fit physically and mentally as well."
