WBO welterweight champion Tim "Desert Storm" Bradley was recently in Las Vegas to call the action on Friday's truTV Metro PCS Friday Night Knockout card at the Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino.

Bradley made more than his fair share of headlines when he parted ways with longtime trainer Joel Diaz and replaced him with tough as nail coach and ESPN commentator, Teddy Atlas.

BoxingScene.com caught up with the two-division champion to get a further explanation on the trainer switch.

"Teddy don't have a million fighters," Bradley said in reference to Diaz's growing stable of fighters. "Teddy was retired and I told Teddy, 'hey buddy you can't die with all that knowledge. You have to pass it on.'"

Bradley said that there is a personal connection between himself and Atlas and feels that is the main reason why Atlas agreed to come out of retirement to train him.

"The reason why Teddy is doing this is because of the person that I am. The life that I live outside of the ring. I am a family guy and he is the same way. He wants to help me and he knows he can help me get better and that is the reason why I chose Teddy,"
Atlas stated.

Bradley will test his new knowledge on November 7th, when he faces Brandon Rios at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
