According to hip hop publication AllHipHop.com, rap music personality and boxing manager, James Prince, was served with a subpoena while sitting ringside at the Mayweather-Judah bout on April 8. The subpoena was served with respect to the ongoing legal battle between imprisoned drug boss Michael "Harry-O" Harris and Marion "Suge" Knight.
Harris claims to have invested money to start up Knight's Death Row Records, and holds a default judgement over Knight for money he claims is owed on his investment. To avoid paying Harris' wife a default judgement worth $107 million, Knight filed for bankruptcy.
The lawyer for Harris is looking to establish a financial relationship between Prince and Knight in an effort to collect some of Harris' owed millions from Prince. Coincidently, Knight was sitting next to Prince at the Mayweather-Judah fight when Prince was served with a subpoena.
Prince, who heads Prince Boxing, holds managerial interests in several big names in the sport - including Diego Corrales, Andre Ward, Hasim Rahman, Roy Jones and several others.
