American manager Harry Barnett, who works with 42-year heavyweight Cedric Boswell, can't believe former cruiserweight champion Jean Marc Mormreck will challenge WBO/IBO/WBA/IBf champion Wladimir Klitschko in a few weeks. Barnett expects Klitschko to put a real beating on Mormeck. Meanwhile, Barnett's fighter will finally get his shot at a title when he challenges undefeated WBA "regular" champion Alexander Povetkin on Saturday in Helsinki, Finland.
"Cedric should have had a title fight a lot earlier. However, the so-called boxing politics are a terrible thing. Promoters, they always pick easy opponents, and that's what Cedric is not. [Klitschko-Mormeck] is not boxing, it's a mortal sin. They produce a faded boxer from a lower weight division against a talented fighter like Klitschko. This kind of fight is not worth watching.....even on TV," Barnett said to Alexander Pavlov.
