Heavyweight contender Monte Barrett (35-9-2, 20KOs) is not worried about his upcoming opponent, Shane Cameron (28-2, 21KOs), becoming a sparring partner for former heavyweight champion David Haye, who faces Dereck Chisora on July 14th. In 2008, Haye stopped Barrett in five rounds.
Barrett-Cameron takes place on July 5th at the Sky City Convention Centre in Auckland, New Zealand. He hopes Haye doesn't bust up Cameron too bad.
"That doesn't make a difference. Desperate people do desperate things. If he wants to go over there and get beat up by Haye for three weeks, by all means let him. I just hope Haye leaves a little bit for me," Barrett told the New Zealand Herald.
