Super middleweight prospect Badou Jack (15-0-1) is looking to cap off a busy 2013 when he faces Rogelio Medina (31-4) tomorrow night in Shelton, Washington. The fight will be broadcast as part of a quadrupleheader on Showtime's popular ShoBox series.
Jack's last fight was on September 12th when he received a questionable majority draw against Marco Antonio Periban. Most ringside observers felt that Jack had done more than enough to leave the ring with his hand raised. Jack said that he is anxious to get back to work.
"It feels good to know I'm going to be back in the ring especially after my last fight," Jack stated while eplaining why he felt he won the fight against Periban. "I landed 41% of my punches and he landed 20%. Everyone knows who won that fight. I am looking to do better work in this fight even though I know I won that fight."
The 30-year-old Jack feels that Saturday's title tilt between WBC super middleweight champion Sakio Bika and the undefeated Anthony Dirrell will be a close fight that can go either way. He said that he is very interested in facing the winner.
"I would love to face Bika. The fight is going to be a close one. Dirrell doesn't have the experience but he has the better skills. Anything can happen. I'm going to go to New York to see that one," Jack told BoxingScene.com.
