Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum is on the sidelines this coming May, when Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (46-1-1, 32KOs) will defend his WBC middleweight championship against British fighter Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs).

Khan will move up by eight pounds to a catch-weight of 155 for the matchup.

Like most other experts who were recently interviewed, Arum considers Canelo to be a sizable favorite to win the fight - due to the weight, size, power and physical strength of the Mexican superstar. Arum also lacks confidence in Khan's ability to take Canelo's punches. Khan has suffered knockout defeats at lightweight and junior welterweight, and he recently moved up to the welterweight division in 2014.

Arum wonders if the former champion from Bolton can pull off a Super Bowl upset like the Denver Broncos were able to secure last Sunday against the Panthers.

"Canelo is bigger, he punches harder and Khan can hardly take a punch.I believe Canelo is a big favorite. But it is an interesting fight, because if we analyze the fight the advantages are clear, but they don't necessarily tell us who is going to win the fight. Like the Super Bowl, everyone was saying that Cam Newton was going to destroy Denver,  but nobody believed in Denver's defense and we saw what happened," Arum told ESPN Deportes.
