With the exception of a handful of fights, boxing in 2016 has left much to be desired.

The match-up between unbeaten junior welterweights Terence Crawford and Viktor Postol is where boxing scribes and fans of the sport agree is a solid fight.

They will square off Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nev. The fight will headline an HBO Pay-Per-View broadcast, beginning at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT.

Longtime boxing promoter Bob Arum is not only selling the fight to boxing fans, but believes this fight is what boxing needs more of.

"It's a great fight," Arum told BoxingScene.com in a recent interview. "It's a fight that's very, very competitive. It's the two best guys at 140 pounds. Nobody disputes that. I'm really looking forward to this fight. It's a real big fight."

Much of the build-up leading up to the fight has been the debate on whether the fight should be on pay-per-view or not.

The Crawford-Postol fight headlines a four-bout broadcast.

But Arum believes boxing fans will purchase the broadcast because the fight pits two of the best fighters in the division.

As far as tickets, over 7,500 have reportedly been sold. The MGM Grand will be scaled to a capacity of 9,000.

"Terence (Crawford) and (Viktor) Postol don't have name recognition of other fighters like (Manny) Pacquiao or Canelo (Alvarez). But (they) certainly have tremendous ability. I think boxing fans across the country and around the world are really looking forward to the fight."
