Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, disputes a recently published report, where Manny Pacquiao's adviser, Michael Koncz, was quoted as saying that Floyd Mayweather Jr. had reached out to discuss the possibility of a fall contest with Pacquiao, and the negotiations were "positive so far." According to Arum, all of the Mayweather-Pacquiao rumors are being circulated by Jeff Mayweather, Floyd's uncle.

"That's total nonsense. Total nonsense. I don't know why he would say it. But it's total nonsense. The whole South African thing. And it's not Floyd. It's Jeff Mayweather, who has nothing to do with Floyd," Arum told BoxingScene.com.

Asked if negotiations had been re-opened, as Koncz had allegedly stated to ABS-CBN News, Arum said the following:

"I already know what it says. But that's totally bulls**t. There are no negotiations. That's nonsense. I don't know what he's talking about. There's no negotiations. There is the South African thing that I referred to. We got a contact from South Africa, and apparently Jeff Mayweather got one. But there's nothing from Floyd and there's just nothing to it."
